Max told me that after his lunch he needed to go look in the mirror to see if his eyes moved when he turned his head. We talked about it a bit during lunch, and he told me that on one of the numerous Christmas movies (many of them the old claymation ones from our childhood) he’d watched Santa’s eyes move when he turned his head. I assumed he meant Santa’s eyes did something ours don’t. I told him that those people in the movie were just pretend people. He didn’t seem too surprised by that, which was good.
As soon as lunch was finished he went to the bathroom and saw that his eyes moved when he turned his head. He ran out telling me “I think I’m pretend! My eyes move when my head moves!” Next he asked me to move my head, and then his Dad. Now he thinks we’re all pretend! Silly kid :-)
